Once again, I’m experiencing an incredible sensation: starting a new project, putting the first post on a website.

I’m excited to begin this new project: a startup that covers other startups, simple as that.  I’ve always considered myself a serial entrepreneur, one of those crazy people that loves being an entrepreneur.  I love to talk with entrepreneurs, share experiences, and learn from them.  Along the way I also had the luck to meet two amazing folks who also decided in their very own way to “cover startups”, on different projects and different times.

Chris and Alexandra share something very unique: both of them immersed themselves into the startup world and contributed a lot of information in the ecosystem by generating -literally- hundreds of posts for Pulso Social and Latam Startups Blog. They built their names and reputation from scratch just by having the passion to write about startups.

That’s why I decided to start this site together with them.

Welcome to StartupBuzz Latin America, a site whose objective is to closely follow the exciting atmosphere of entrepreneurship in Latin America, as well as the growing startup scene in the region. Consider this website our MVP. It’s far from being complete but we wanted to launch as soon as we could. We will improve the website throughout time but the important thing is that you will see a constant feed of information from Latin American Startups.

There are so many things to talk about: startups (duh!), founders, entrepreneurs, investors, organizations and events, initiatives to support entrepreneurs, more events(!), etc.  A really exciting moment is happening for Latin America and this site will closely cover all these stories to concentrate them in one place.

There are also success stories and fail stories. We are interested in both sides of the coin. In a way, entrepreneurs and startup founders have to be ready to succeed but mostly they have to be ready to fail. These stories are super important to develop a better entrepreneurial ecosystem. Startups and founders learn from these stories. Throughout the years,  I’ve heard many stories from hundreds of founders while being a mentor and also an entrepreneur myself.  So it’s time to cover these stories in Latin America.

Before declaring this place officially “open for business” I have to thank the amazing guys at @Bandtastic. Besides from being founders of one of the most exciting  startups from Mexico, they are kick ass designers and they help us build this website. Thanks @lulomx and @fabiantxt for your help, patience and support.

Let the fun begin.
